The Corpus Luteum is a temporary organ
whose purpose is to signal the pituitary
gland to not release LH or FSH, thereby
preventing menstruation.
No progesterone feedback from the Corpus Luteum.
The adrenals and ovaries are capable of producing
low amounts of progesterone to an insignificant
amount of less than 1ng/ml.
